You can see the "Crooked Tree" on the right.  This is a view of County Street facing west towards downtown.  Photo taken in about 1911.

In later photos, the crooked tree had a gas station behind it.  Originally, the tree was in front of a house.  That house was moved down the road east, to 1061 County Street where it is located today, the home of a local historian.  The house was replaced with a Mobil gas station.
