In front of Charles Woolcott's Ice Cream and candy store. The
year was 1913. These 8 Milan business men all got their heads
shaved, then saved the occasion with a photographer. Was
it a dare? A bet?
Left to right, front row, Thurlow Sanford, Ralph Robinson,
Roy Haggerman, Harry Harmon. Back row: Arza VanWormer, Ty
Woolcott, Mr.Scoland and Norm Eighme.
The annoying kid on the right is unknown. He is standing in
front of an advertisement for Mailpouch tobacco.
To read more about this, look up the Way Back When column by
Warren Hale dated July 11, 1979, which is on file at the Milan
Area Public Library.
