WILLEM KAREL CRANS
Born in 1847 in Holland.  He raised a family in Benton Harbor, Michigan while working as a carpenter and furniture builder.  This picture shows him as a young man in Holland, where his wealthy family sent him to a military academy.  He died in 1932 and is buried in the Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor.
