kept by Jean L. Churchill (Mrs. Jesse Moses) of Short Beach, Nova Scotia.

3. Nelson Churchill. He is wearing a suit. Full length picture of him, very small.

4. From left: Randolph, Jean, Wilfred, and Malcolm.

5. World War I soldiers. Could be some Churchills in picture.

7. Four brothers. In front: Wilfred and Randolph.  In back: Nathan on the left, Malcolm on the right.  Note: Malcolm and Nathan look a lot alike but we believe Nathan is on the left.

8. Randolph as a young man standing by the big wheel, and his father Nelson Churchill standing by the wooden wagon. An ox in front ready to pull the cart.

9. Nathan Churchill. In military uniform.  Nathan looks a lot like Malcolm but this appears to be Nathan.

10. Wilfred? Young man in a suit standing beside his bicycle. This could be Wilfred Churchill.

17A. Jean Churchill in the water wearing a short sleeved dress, a "bathing costume."

17 B. Lake at Short Beach.

17 C. A woman who appears to be about eighty years old seated in a chair, and standing behind her is a woman who appears to be about sixty years old. Possible mother-daughter picture.

18. A man in a suit standing next to about five women in bloomers. A child is crouched in front of them. Picture taken outdoors. Unknown.

19. A man with a beard and his dog.

20. Randolph and Jean at the old home on Short Beach. They appear to be about 8-12 years old.

21. Jean on the left, and friend. This friend is the same person shown in picture 16.

22. Very faded and blurry picture of a group of people taken outdoors.

23. Four men and a woman standing; an older man kneeling in front of them, with his arms around three young women.

24. Two people standing in front of a building. Unknown.

25. Six adults standing outside in front of some buildings in an urban area. Dad believes that Jean is the one who is fourth from the left.

26. Two women standing with a house in the background. Margaret thinks it is Short Beach property.

27. Old home at Short Beach with a woman standing in front of it, Margaret thinks the woman is Jean.

28-31 Margaret thinks these are family members during WWI at a TB hospital. Dad says that Malcolm probably had TB and Mom thinks that their brother Nathan also had TB.

29. Myrtle and Malcolm Churchill. Picture was probably taken in about 1919, could have been taken soon after their first daughter, Edith, was born.

29A is the inside of a dark building.

29B has a couple of guys in hospital beds. Is one of those guys Malcolm?

30 is a man with a bulldog on a leash.

31 Malcolm Churchill in a military uniform, Dad believes it is Nathan but Kathy is certain it is Malcolm.  Martha has trouble figuring it out.  Probably Aunt Jean had one of Nathan and one of Malcolm; see picture #9.

32 A man and two women by a car. Marie Churchill seated on running board, next to Wilfred. An unknown woman standing next to them.

33 Marie Forest Churchill. With an unknown man and woman, on a porch. NOTE: the woman on the left is obviously the same woman seen in picture number 32.

34 and 35 are both Donald Churchill. One of them shows him at about age 2, the other he looks like he is about 3 and is seated on a scooter.

36. Malcolm at the tuberculosis hospital with his wife, Myrtle Bieglo. He is wearing a hospital gown and seated in a lawn chair. A woman sits on the ground in front of him.

37. Malcolm’s two little girls. Emma on the left, Edith on the right. Photo was taken on Burrisford Street in Highland Park, Michigan, where Malcolm and Myrtle were living.

38, Man and woman, both dressed up and wearing hats. The hats hide their faces. They are standing on the corner of a house, where there is a screened in porch.

39. Malcolm and his wife Myrtle. The children are Edith and Emma and some other kid, not sure who, Edith and Don think that it isn’t George, but Martha thinks it is George. This picture was taken in the same spot as picture 38, with the corner of the tuberculosis hospital behind them. Photo probably taken in 1928 or 1929, shortly before Malcolm's death.

40. Edith is on the left, and in front of her is her sister Emma. There is another child in the picture, not sure who.

41. Malcolm's kids?  Three children. Emma is in the front, the smallest child. Edith cannot identify the other children in this picture. In my opinion, the girls in the back are, from left, Edith and Emma, and the child in front is likely George.

42 and 43, Randolph Churchill with his friends.

44. Man and two women. Unknown.

45. Malcolm's kids? A girl holding a baby boy, probably George and his sister.

46 Wilfred and Marie Churchill. They look like they are about 25 years old. Sitting on a front porch. Dad notices that the war wound scar is visible on Wilfred’s head.

47. Several people standing in front of a house. Margaret says this is a picture of her mother’s old home in Barrington, Nova Scotia. "My parents married there, an outdoor wedding."

48. Picture of Emma Jean Churchill as a baby, seated in front of a brick or cinder block house. Emma was the second child of Malcolm and Myrtle. NOTE: This child is the same one shown seated in front, in picture #41.

49. Randolph by his car. Looks like a Model T.

50. Man standing outdoors. Margaret says that is her father Randolph.

51 through 53: Margaret doesn’t know where these pictures were taken or who they are

51 shows a long agricultural building.

52 is someone on horseback.

53 is someone by a wrought iron gate.

54. Large group picture. Aunt Jean’s wedding. "Grandma Churchill" (Margaret Lamont Churchill) standing next to Jean with Randolph and his wife behind her.

55. Mr. and Mrs. Moses. Jean’s wedding picture. "Uncle Ed was peering around the corner." Uncle Ed was Nelson Churchill’s brother, who was mentally challenged.

56. Edith Churchill, the daughter of Malcolm, with her first husband, Robert. Edith doesn’t remember Robert’s last name.

57. From left: Emma, Myrtle, Edith, and George Churchill. Myrtle was raising her three kids alone because her husband, Malcolm, had died of tuberculosis.

59 A. Aunt Emma Lamont. Margaret says: "She had married Matthew, and although she was pleasant to me, I always found her a little scary. She had very dark eyes, and curly, fluffy white hair, and had a rather unusual lifestyle."

60. Grandma Churchill (Margaret Lamont) with her Michigan relatives. In the back row, from left: Marie Churchill, Wilfred’s wife; Emma Churchill, daughter of Malcolm; and Emma’s mother, Myrtle. Sitting in the front are three children-- from left, George, Marilyn, and Donald. George was the youngest son of Malcolm; Donald and Marilyn were Wilfred’s children. This photo was taken at Wilfred's home, 8279 Greenlawn.

61. Photo taken at 8279 Greenlawn. Dad says his room was a dormer on the upper floor.

62 Margaret as a child, about 10 years old. She says this picture was taken at Summerside, Prince Edward Island, with her first dog. "My father was in the Canadian Air Force teaching math to pilots. He joined, although old (almost 40) because his brothers had all been in WWI.

63 Wilfred Churchill with his mother, Margaret Lamont Churchill.

64. George and Mary Churchill on the left. His mother Myrtle; George's sister Edith, holding a small child, probably Mike.  On the right, standing, Donald and Carol Churchill. Carol is holding a baby, apparently Bruce, while Cynthia stands at Carol’s knee.  The little girl standing in front is Jeanette Mix Pierce-- her mother, Helen, was probably taking the picture at the time.  NOTE: Carol Churchill and Helen Pierce are sisters.

70 That is Margaret Lamont Churchill in the middle, seated, and Marilyn Churchill is the little girl being "crushed" on her grandmother’s lap. Standing behind Margaret: Donald Churchill wearing a neck tie. Standing beside Donald: his cousin George.

72, that is Margaret Lamont Churchill with her grand-daughter Margaret (Dr. Margaret Churchill).
