To this union nine children were born: Cecil, of Hillsboro, Ore., Mrs. Louis Gray of this community, Rease, of Dallas, Ore., George of Montgomery, Ala., Jeanette, of Bertha, Minn., Ellis of Clarissa, Minn., Mrs. Orlo (Hazel) Frink of Fall City, Oregon, Mrs. Robert (Opal) Jahn of Monmouth, Ore., and Eldon of Hillsboro, Ore. He was one of eight children, all of whom have preceded him in death. During his lifetime the change from ox team to the jet age was [navigated?]; his last trip was made by jet aircraft from Monmouth, Oregon, where he was residing with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jahn until he arrived at Clarissa, Minn. and spent this last year residing with Mr. and Mrs. Ellis McKindley. The Pallbearers were his two sons, Cecil and Ellis and four grandsons, Robert and Louis Gray of Osakis, Gerald Gray of West St. Paul, Minn. and David Gray of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A word fitly spoken is like applies of Gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11 CARD OF THANKS We would like to thank all our relatives and friends for their expression of sympathy at the time of the death of our father and grandfather. The many cards, memorials, flowers, and gifts of food were deeply appreciated. The J.N. McKindley Family PUBLISHED IN THE OSAKIS REVIEW NOTE: Carol and Don Churchill say that Jeanette McKindley, the mother of Carol Churchill, was in correspondence with Jeanette McKindley of Minnesota. Carol and Don have a uniform worn by one of the McKindley ancestors, and they say that J.N. McKindley owned a sword which went with the uniform. Presumably, one of the children or grandchildren of J.N. McKindley has that sword. Other family records indicate that J.N. McKindley was also known as John McKindley. His father was Francis Austin McKindley's brother. Home page Last Name Index PHOTOS Churchill * Foerst
