REQUEST FOR MEDICAID HEARING

Nick Curtis has been requesting a place to live, independently, since August 1998. He has asked for help at every PCP meeting, but no one at CMH in Adams County does anything to help him.

I have called Nick’s case manager many times to find out when he will get a place to live. She keeps saying she will find him a place as soon as there is an opening, but she doesn’t know how long that will take. How many years must he wait? He is willing to live in a group home or an apartment, so long as there are paid staff present to help him with his daily needs.
